North Carolina has had much roster turnover – six players transferring out including Caleb Love, Puff Johnson, Tyler Nickel, Dontrez Styles, Justin McKoy, and Will Shaver, plus Leaky Black and Pete Nance graduating. Meanwhile four players have transferred in – Jae’lyn Withers (Louisville), Cormac Ryan (Notre Dame), Paxson Wojcik (Brown), and Harrison Ingram (Stanford) and two will join from the high school ranks – Simeon Wilcher and Zayden High. The question becomes: Is this roster, complete with Armando Bacot and RJ Davis, better than last season’s? Host Isaac Schade and Pac Kilby work to answer this question. Also, over/under, will the Tar Heels have 25 wins next season?

With everything we’ve talked about surrounding UNC’s roster construction for 2023-24, we haven’t considered the possibility of Jarin Stevenson (No. 1 PF in 2024) committing to the Tar Heels and re-classifying to the class of 2023. What if he did so and took one of UNC’s final 2 scholarships for next season? Could he slot in alongside Armando Bacot in the frontcourt? At the very least, he would challenge for a starting role and would add great depth along with Bacot, Jae’lyn Withers, and Jalen Washington.
