North Carolina basketball has added Cormac Ryan to their roster after receiving a commitment today. Cormac visited Hubert Davis and the UNC campus before finally announcing a decision. This is a step in the right direction after the Caleb Love transfer. Last week, the Tar Heels received a commitment from Jaelyn Withers and are closing in on Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram.

North Carolina landed their third transfer commitment of the offseason on Thursday – Notre Dame’s Cormac Ryan. Ryan joins Paxson Wojcik and Jae’lyn Withers as players coming to Chapel Hill via the portal. Ryan brings a wealth of experience and leadership from his years spent at both Stanford and Notre Dame.

Not only is he capable of knocking down shots from outside, he averages four rebounds a game and 2.5 assists and knocks down 80% of his free throws. Host Isaac Schade is of the opinion that he’s actually a better fit for the Tar Heels than Nick Timberlake would have been (although would have gladly welcomed Timberlake as well!).

A North Carolina man allegedly shot a 6-year-old girl, her parents and an additional neighbor after a basketball rolled into his yard.

“Why did you shoot my daddy and me? Why did you shoot a kid’s dad?” Kinsley asked in an emotional interview, stitches visible on her cheek from the bullet fragments that hit her.

After a few luke warm transfers for Hubert Davis and UNC, this offseason, they might have finally found a spark, if they can pick up Florida State guard, Matthew Cleveland.

The latest in North Carolina’s transfer portal pursuit: Florida State transfer Matthew Cleveland, the Seminoles’ leading scorer in 2022-23. News came out on Tuesday evening that UNC was indeed in contact with FSU transfer Matthew Cleveland. As a former five-star prospect with two years of eligibility remaining, the Atlanta native provides intriguing upside. He would fit well with RJ Davis and Armando Bacot, because he doesn’t need a high volume of shots to be a scorer. He finishes well at the rim. He’s not the defender Leaky Black was at the ‘3’, but provides more offensively.
