College Basketball Recruiting Weekly returns with 247Sports college basketball recruiting analysts Adam Finkelstein and Travis Branham recap the madness that has been going on this week. On Tuesday Duke’s Kyle Filipowski announced his intention to return to Durham for his sophomore year. In a corresponding move, incoming freshman Mackenzie Mgbako asked for a release from his National Letter of Intent so that he could re-open his recruiting. Mgbako is a high school teammate of incoming Carolina freshman Simeon Wilcher. Carolina needs a legit stretch four and that’s exactly what Mgbako would bring to the table alongside Armando Bacot in the frontcourt with RJ Davis holding it down in the backcourt.

Former Louisville Cardinal basketball player Jae’lyn Withers announced today that he has decided to transfer to North Carolina to play basketball for Hubert Davis. A former teammate of Armando Bacot, withers will fit in well as a new member of the Tar Heels. North Carolina basketball needs more players for sure, but this is a step in the right direction after Caleb Love, Dontrez Styles, Puff Johnson, Tyler Nickle, and Justin McKoy transferred.
