Clemson vs. North Carolina: The North Carolina Tar Heels had a nice bounce-back performance at home as they defeated the Clemson Tigers, 91-71. The Heels snapped a 3-game losing streak behind great play by Caleb Love, who scored 23 points on a very efficient 7-12 from the floor and 6-9 from 3-point range. Armando Bacot finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds for his 16th double-double of the season in the win. Clemson star Hunter Tyson was held to just 3 points, attempting only 2 shots from the floor in the loss.

North Carolina picked up a big win at home over Clemson, 91-71. Caleb Love had a terrific afternoon shooting the ball, as he scored a game-high 23 points on 7-12 shooting, including 6-9 from range. He also added 5 assists. Armando Bacot fought for another double double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. RJ Davis added 17 points in the win. For Clemson, PJ Hall was the leading scorer, picking up 18 points including 12 in the first half.

The Blue Devils string together one of the best 3-game stretches of the season with wins over GA Tech, Wake Forest and UNC.

The North Carolina big man answers questions after the 92-85 loss on Tuesday night at Joel Coliseum, sharing the message he delivered to his teammates postgame about players “showing up” and the importance of leadership and desperation at this time in the season.

Wake Forest was in control from the start and kept North Carolina at arm’s length after leading by 26 in the 92-85 home win. Tyree Appleby was absolutely on fire, as the Wake guard scored 35 points, dished out 11 assists, and grabbed 7 rebounds. He also went 23-28 from the free throw line. Damari Monsanto followed up with 16 points and 7 rebounds. For the Tar Heels, Caleb Love’s shooting touch came alive in the second half, as he scored a team-high 24 points, 22 of which came in the second half. Armando Bacot added a 17-point, 11-rebound double double in the loss.
