The 14th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels defeated Boston College, 73-55. Freshman Kayla McPherson was in the starting lineup that was missing three UNC regulars and delivered with a game-high 22 points, adding 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Kennedy Todd-Williams added 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Deja Kelly pitched in 12 points in the win for North Carolina. T’Yana Todd led Boston College with 14 points. The Eagles also got 11 points from All VanTimmeren and 11 rebounds to go along with 9 points from Andrea Daley.

Boston College vs. North Carolina: The #14 Tar Heels trying to stay in the race for an ACC regular season title, defeated the Eagles 73-55. North Carolina was without three starters, but it didn’t matter as UNC led for the overwhelming majority of the game. Freshman Kayla McPherson got the start and made the most of it, scoring 22 points and grabbing six rebounds. Kennedy Todd-Williams had 16 points and nine rebounds. For Boston College, T’Yana Todd led the Eagles with 14 points and had five rebounds.

North Carolina got its most complete and dominant performance of the season at the most important team, knocking off the Clemson Tigers. The trio of Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, and RJ Davis combined to score 59 points (Clemson had 57 when they checked out).

Puff Johnson played an important role off the bench.

Carolina tied a season high with 15 made three-pointers and tied a season-low with seven turnovers.

This cannot be a one-off performance as UNC has to turn around and be equally locked in on Monday night against Miami.

Louisville prevailed in a defensive battle to pick up a huge win against No. 11 North Carolina at home, 62-55. Neither team shot greater than 34% from the floor, and the teams combined for 36 turnovers as neither team gave an inch on the defensive end. Both Chrislyn Carr and Hailey Van Lith finished with 17 points, with Carr adding 3 assists and Van Lith adding 7 rebounds. Deja Kelly’s 13 points led the Tar Heels.
