North Carolina Tar Heels guard Kerwin Walton has entered the transfer portal. It’s a move that many anticipated or saw coming, however with the immediate transfer opportunity deadline approaching it seemed that perhaps Walton would stay after all. Perhaps the thought of being part of another deep run was enticing for him. With many of his teammates coming back, including Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot, the opportunity to be part of a hugely successful team was right in front of him. However he decided to choose a different route, and one likely paved with more playing time. Best of luck, Kerwin.

Class of 2023 PF Gregory “GG” Jackson committed to North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon. Jackson is a consensus top-10 recruit from South Carolina. He is the second commit in the class, joining fellow top-10 commit and five-star Simeon Wilcher. Jackson is 6’9″, 210 and is an athletic stretch four who can step in and be exactly what Hubert Davis and the coaching staff are looking for in terms of playing style. Will Coach Davis bring in any other recruits? Much will depend on the status of players like Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, RJ Davis.
