North Carolina’s 2022-23 season really started to take a dive from expectations during PK85, last year’s MTE. That’s precisely the portion of the schedule where the 2023-24 Tar Heels are at as Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, and company try to prove themselves. Battle4Atlantis is an opportunity to do precisely that: prove that they are ready for more than last year.

Beyond B4A, the Tar Heels’ non-conference schedule only gets crazier. Carolina will host Tennessee, play UConn on a neutral, as well as Kentucky in Atlanta. It’s an opportunity for UNC to show their mettle. Will they do so? Is the team truly different than last season?

No. 12 Arizona takes down No. 2 Duke, 78-73, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. All five Wildcats starters score in double digits.

The North Carolina Tar Heels took care of in-state foe, Davidson, 74-70 in Women’s Basketball play. Deja Kelly led the Tar Heels in scoring with 18 points and added 7 assists and 5 rebounds in the win. Maria Gakdeng and Lexi Donarski added 15 points each for the Tar Heels.

(11/18/2023) UNC Asheville Bulldogs vs Virginia University of Lynchburg Dragons Men’s Basketball Highlights

No. 9 Virginia Tech earned a solid home win at home against UNC Greensboro, 72-51. Elizabeth Kitley turned in a monster performance with 31 points to go with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Georgia Amoore’s 8 assists in the game leaves her with a program record for most assists in a 2-game span (24). She’d also add 9 points and 4 rebounds.

In a matter of a few seconds, North Carolina had a pair of spectacular highlights in the game vs. UC Riverside. First on defense, Jae’Lyn Withers smashes a Riverside shot attempt for a block, and then the ball got passed up to Seth Trumble who threw down a skywalking dunk.
