The Tar Heels wore blue at home for the first time in nine years, but looked as comfortable as ever in a 77-52 win over UC Riverside. Carolina shot 46% from the floor while holding the Highlanders to just 31%. Armando Bacot had a game-high 21 points and even hit his second-career three-pointer in the victory. Jalen Washington had a solid game with 11 points while going 2-2 from three-point range to go with 5 rebounds and 2 blocks. Harrison Ingram had 10 points and was the team’s leading rebounder with 9.

#16 North Carolina improved to 2-0 by taking care of in-state foe, Davidson, 74-70 in Women’s Basketball play. Deja Kelly led the Tar Heels in scoring with 18 points and added 7 assists and 5 rebounds in the win. Maria Gakdeng and Lexi Donarski added 15 points each for the Tar Heels.

North Carolina hosts UC-Riverside for the final buy game of this portion of the schedule (one more at the end of December – Charleston Southern). While Carolina is still working on things, it’s time to come and dominate a team from start to finish, but the All-American caliber play of Armando Bacot and RJ Davis. Harrison Ingram is playing a great third wheel thus far, but can continue to step up. Will we see Cormac Ryan pour in a ton of threes? Is Jae’lyn Withers fully healthy and ready to contribute more? Will Elliot Cadeau continue to come off the bench, but play starter’s minutes?
