UNC legend Roy Williams talked to Gerald Owens about how he’s rooting for the Heels and spending time in retirement.

Central Cabarrus completed its undefeated season with a 65-51 win over UNC commitment Drake Powell and Northwood. Powell posted 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 3FG), 8 rebounds, 2 assists.

Fourth-seeded Duke took down second-seeded Virginia in a defensive battle to claim its 22nd ACC men’s tournament championship, 59-49. The Blue Devils had 43 of their 59 points come from Kyle Filipowski and Jeremy Roach. Roach finished with a game-high 23 on 7-12 shooting. Filipowski added 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Reece Beekman had a team-high 12 points for the Cavaliers.

Fourth-seeded Duke advanced to the ACC Championship with an 85-78 victory over top-seeded Miami. The Blue Devils carried over their hot-shooting from the quarterfinals, as they converted at a 55% rate from the floor and made half of their three-point attempts. Kyle Filipowski had yet another double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Tyrese Proctor added 15 to go with 5 assists and 3 boards. Mark Mitchell’s 14 points came alongside 5 rebounds. For Miami, Isaiah Wong had a game-high 22 points. The Hurricanes saw Norchad Omier go down in the game’s opening minutes with an injury.
