No. 23 NC State picked up the win over North Carolina at home, 77-69. The Tar Heels held a six-point lead late in the second half, but the Wolfpack exploded to a 29-15 run that finished off Carolina for good. Jarkel Joiner had a terrific day for NC State, as he scored 29 points, 20 of which came in the second half. Joiner made his final 7 shots of the game. DJ Burns feasted in the paint in the second half, picking up 14 points. Armando Bacot had a 16-point, 14-rebound double double in the loss while Caleb love scored 23.
