The NCAA is considering ending the one-time transfer waiver in favor of student-athletes being allowed to transfer as many times as they would like within their years of eligibility, while being granted immediate eligibility. This news is pending a vote, which will happen in August. Host Isaac Schade is not thrilled with the news and unpacks his thoughts on it.

One of UNC basketball’s favorite sons finally hung up his playing shoes this summer as Jawad Williams announced the end of his 17-year career. That doesn’t mean he stopped being involved in the hoops scene. In fact, he has barely slowed down. It’s the eighth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D’Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles) and we now move onto the juniors. We start with Puff Johnson, a 6’8″, 205-pound guard from Moon Township, PA.

If the surname and hometown sound familiar, it’s because Puff is the younger brother of Tar Heel alum and current Phoenix Sun, Cameron Johnson.

Adam Lucas (@jadamlucas) joined George (@britishtarheel) on The Tar Heel Show for Episode Four of Season Three to discuss what he’s seen of the current UNC Men’s Basketball team at practices, stories about Coach Smith and Coach Williams, as well as how he got to where he is in Carolina Athletics and the Carolina Insider Podcast.

Adam has been attending the practices for the UNC Basketball 2022/23 team and is very excited from what he’s seen. He also talks about last season’s games against Duke.
