The ACC hasn’t gone anywhere! Hayes Permar talks about how the ACC still remains unchanged right now despite the impending conference realignments that have taken place with USC & UCLA leaving the PAC-12 for the Big Ten. Brian Geisinger of ACC Sports Journal joined the show to talk about potential moves involving UNC basketball, Duke basketball, and NC State basketball.

North Carolina class of 2023 basketball commit GG Jackson was in the headlines this weekend. On3’s Jamie Shaw posted wrote an article stating that Jackson was considering de-committing from UNC to go to South Carolina, the G-league, or potentially Oregon. Included in this mix is the re-consideration of reclassifying to the class of 2022.

The Carolina Family got rather worked up about the issue, but Jackson, himself, said on Monday that it’s just rumors. At this point, all indications are still that he’ll come to Chapel Hill to play for Hubert Davis and alongside a great core including players such as RJ Davis, Dontrez Styles, D’Marco Dunn, Jalen Washington, Seth Trimble, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver, and Simeon Wilcher.

Last Friday, ESPN released the pairings for the 2022 edition of the ACC – Big 10 Challenge. The North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. UNC last went to Assembly Hall for the ACC – Big 10 Challenge in 2016-17; a game the Hoosiers won 76-67. Justin Jackson led the Tar Heels in scoring that night with 21. While that setback was disappointing at the time, it helped turn that team into the national champions they eventually became. Will Hubert Davis’ team fair better with the veteran leadership of Leaky Black, Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love?

On January 8th, 2012 Tony Bennett and his Virginia Cavaliers traveled to Chapel Hill to take on Hubert Davis, Armando Bacot and the Tar Heels..Bacot dominated the paint, setting career highs with 29 points and 21 rebounds in the win, joining Sean May as the only 2 UNC players in history to grab 20 rebounds in a game in the Dean Dome. Bacot shot 12-of-18 for the game, posting his 7th straight double-double in the win. Relive the impressive performance by Armando Bacot right here!
