Reblogged 2 years ago from www.youtube.comThe time has come for the North Carolina Tar Heels family to bid farewell to GG Jackson. There has been no public announcement yet from the Jacksons or from North Carolina, but various signs, including the fact that the Tar Heels have now offered scholarships to two other power forwards in the class of 2023, point to the fact that an announcement is imminent.
In this video I’m going to be recapping the University of North Carolina’s 2021-2022 basketball season, talking about players that entered the transfer portal, players that entered the 2022 NBA draft, players that transferred to UNC, as well as new recruits, and my predictions for the Tarheels’ 2022-2023 season. UNC has star player Armando Bacot returning, but lost players like Brady Manek to the 2022 NBA draft to the Charlotte Hornets and Dawson Garcia to the transfer portal. They also have some high-level recruits like Jalen Washington and Tyler Nickel. How far do I think UNC will make it in March Madness this season? Watch to find out.
It’s the seventh week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance) and we now finish the sophomores with guard / forward Dontrez Styles. Dunn is a 6’6″, 210-pound guard from Kinston, North Carolina.
At the end of last week, it seemed all but inevitable that the North Carolina Tar Heels were headed to the SEC, along with schools like Florida State, Clemson, and possibly Virginia or Virginia Tech or Miami. But on Monday, it was reported that the SEC presidents declared a desire to stop at the 16 schools currently in the conference (Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Kentucky, and South Carolina).
With the Big Ten/ACC Challenge set, how does the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team match up with the UNC Tar Heels? And can IU hang with one of the top teams in the country next season?
In a special crossover episode today, Locked on Hoosiers host Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) and Locked on Tar Heels host Isaac Schade (@isaacschade) discuss the IU-UNC game set to highlight this year’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Hoosiers have had the upper hand against North Carolina in the previous regular season in meetings in Assembly Hall. However, it’s been the Tar Heels that have bested the Hoosiers in the games that have mattered most.
