Reblogged 1 year ago from www.youtube.comMore news came out today that seven ACC member schools – UNC, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Clemson, & Miami – are researching the ‘grant-of-rights’ deal with the ACC and how they can possibly get out of the media rights deal with the league to potentially join other conferences. Dennis Cox & Chris Lea discuss how North Carolina & NC State were listed as part of the “magnificent seven,” but that Duke was not. Dennis also wonders if fans actually care about any of this if games are still being played and that rivals schools are still facing eachother.
Seven ACC schools have been working behind the scenes with their lawyers to figure out if indeed the conferenceโs current grant of rights deal is as foolproof as it appears to be. The conference is woefully behind the SEC and Big Ten, so schools are looking for a way out or a way to broker a new contract to find more money. The seven schools involved are Clemson, FSU, Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech, NC State, and UNC.
