Ian Jackson, a six-foot-four, 5-star shooting guard out of the Bronx, N.Y., picks UNC as his college home. This comesa month after point guard Elliot Cadeau announced his commitment. Both Cadeau and Jackson are ranked in the top 10 in the Class of 2024.

Tar Heels are the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, as Jackson and Cadeau will join the likes of No. 30 ranked James Brown and No. 49 ranked Drake Powell.

What does this mean for Hubert Davis and his commitment to the head coaching role at North Carolina? What does it mean for the current roster?

North Carolina kept a Boston College comeback effort at bay as the Tar Heels rolled to a 72-64 win. Armando Bacot tied Billy Cunningham atop UNC’s all-time double doubles list with 60 after a terrific 20-point, 16-rebound performance. RJ Davis had 18 points 4-7 shooting from beyond the arc in the win. Quinten Post led BC’s scoring attack with 15 points in the loss.

On Monday, the number two player in the class of 2024, Ian Jackson, was set to announce his commitment, and every bit of intel said “Kentucky”. But things started coming out on Monday that started pointing towards UNC, some insiders started flipping their Crystal Ball predictions, and next thing you knew, Ian Jackson was unzipping a jacket to reveal a “North Carolina” logo. Ian Jackson becomes the 4th commit in the class of 2024, further solidifying Hubert Davis’ hold on the No. 1-ranked class. Jackson joins Elliot Cadeau, James Brown, and Drake Powell.
