This past Saturday, in the hours before UNC Football kicked off their season vs. Florida A&M, the men’s basketball team held a first-of-its-kind, players-only, NIL-sponsored Blue-White Scrimmage. This marks the earliest public showing from the Tar Heels. And people got to enjoy the festivities for a mere $10 each.
The scrimmage was played to 80 points, with ACC refs overseeing the game. The white team won the scrimmage 80-69 and a tip-in by, who else…Armando Bacot..

The Dean E. Smith Center hosted an NIL Blue White Scrimmage game on August 27. This event gives us the earliest look at Carolina Basketball in modern-day Carolina history. What a game it was.

Drake Maye, the brother of UNC basketball player Luke Maye, threw for 294 YDS & 5 TDs as North Carolina defeats the Florida A&M Rattlers, 56-24, during Week 0 of the 2022 college football season. Omarion Hampton ran for 101 YDS and two scores in the win for the Tar Heels.
